Expression of Interest - Casual Support Worker - Shepparton

Are you a compassionate and experienced support worker looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others? We are seeking dedicated casual Support Worker to join our growing team, providing high-quality care to NDIS Agency-Managed participants in Shepparton.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who are empathetic, reliable, and adaptable to diverse client needs and environments.


Responsibilities

As a Casual Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for NDIS participants by providing support in the following areas:

  • Manual Handling: Assisting clients with mobility and transfers.
  • Personal Care: Supporting clients with hygiene, grooming, and other personal care needs.
  • Daily Living Tasks: Helping clients with household tasks, meal preparation, and other daily activities.
  • Community Access: Accompanying clients to appointments, social outings, and community events.
  • Complex Support Needs: Providing tailored care to clients with specific and complex requirements.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (or higher).
  • Active NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Valid Working With Children Check.
  • Current Manual Handling Training certification.
  • Up-to-date First Aid & CPR certification.
  • Fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
  • Reliable car and valid driver’s licence.
  • Proven experience in manual handling and personal care.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients.
  • Strong reliability and commitment to delivering quality care.

Please note: This role is not open to sole traders or independent support workers. Only candidates engaged through MOR.Healthcare’s labour-hire model will be considered.


Day-to-Day

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the clients you support. You may:

  • Assist clients with getting ready for the day, including personal care and dressing.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and household tasks.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Facilitate community access by accompanying clients to appointments, shopping, or social activities.
  • Follow care plans and ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the MOR.Healthcare team.
